Happy 4th of July! Let’s have a BBQ

Welcome to the June Blog Hop from Team Stamp It.  For me July 4th is always a celebration because it is my parents’ anniversary.  This year they are celebrating 60 years together.  I considered making an anniversary card, however, every year I find myself making invitations for a BBQ because we are always having a party.  

I started with the Twinkle, Twinkle DSP and layered that on both the Poppy Parade and Whisper White card stock. The Apron Builder Framelits and the Apron of Love stamp set the tone for the BBQ invite.  I love all the little phrases in this set.  The Tailored Tag Punch was the perfect size for my Party Time stamp from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.  I Used the Twinkle Builder Punch to add a little shimmer and sparkle with the Silver Foil and the Sparkle Glimmer paper.  This is especially festive if you are going to add fireworks to your celebration.

The inside of the card is a collaboration of stamps and stamp sets.  “Let’s Celebrate” I found in the new Detailed with Love that was released in May (which has some really great sentiments).  Then I used the Make a Difference stamp set to get “the 4th”.  In this set I found “the” sandwiched between “from” and “desk of”.  I used the Poppy Parade Stampin Write Marker to color in “the” and stamped under “Let’s Celebrate”.  Then on another clear block I assembled the 4 and TH.  

I left plenty of room on the inside to fill in the details of the party if you wanted to hand write the invitation.  I would probably print up the info from a word document and maybe add stars stamped in a Balmy Blue to add that detail.
