Welcome to our New Year’s Blog Hop Featuring 2017!  

I am so looking forward to the new year and the new beginning.  I thought my design for this blog hop should reflect my excitement!  I hope you enjoy my design this month and all the other designs from the wonderfully creative crafters here at Team Stamp It.  Don’t forget to add a comment to each blog to enter into the drawing for the prize.  (one entry for each comment, but only one comment per blog).

I really had fun with all the bling on this card.  I knew that I wanted to start with Glimmer Paper.  I think I may have been influenced by the song from Rudolph “Silver and Gold”.  I love the way the Silver and Gold Glimmer Paper work with the Silver and Gold Embossing Powder. 

For the last week while I have been running crazy making stockings to donate to children in my school and collecting basic necessities to fill those stockings (socks, hats and mittens). All the while my mind has been working frantically on the design for this blog hop.  The Happy 2017 was easy.  I knew that would be the base of my card, but when I got up this morning to design the card, I went through all my stamps sets looking for the perfect finishing touch.  By 7:30 am I was getting worried.  It was right in front of me the whole time in the stack of Christmas Cards waiting to be finished.  The sentiment and the stars both came from Stitched With Cheer stamp set.  A good reminder that our stamp sets are so versatile and can fit many different occasions.

    Very nice NY’s card. I don’t use black CS often as a rule but, it looks fabulous with the gold embossing. Have a Happy Holiday Season.
