Thanksgiving is a Time to Count Your Blessings
I challenged myself to take a set that was not part of my autumn collections and create a card that shared my thoughts about the many blessings I have in my life. I started out wanting to use the Rustic Crate Stamp set and the Oxidized Specialty DSP. But I soon realized I might be in a sea of cards with similar themes. So I pulled out Shop the Town and Always With Me Stamp Sets and went straight to work. Somewhere around 9pm last night (Friday – the day before the Blog Hop) I settled on tone on tone Very Vanilla and Timeword Type Embossing Folder for Texture. By 10pm I was all set with the Stamping and began to color. When I next looked at the clock it was past Midnight! However, I was more relaxed than ever. The stress of the week had melted away and I was loving the fall feel of the card.
I started with Blends, pulling them from my case as I went along. I can tell you I have a mess of blends on my desk top that I will have to organize for my Live on Monday night. The sentiment on the outside of the card came from Rustic Crate Stamp Set, but the inside was all about Always With Me. By the time I finished making the card it was nearly 1am. I’ve been at this computer since before six this morning trying to find the words that convey my creative process. Join me on Monday October 25, 2023 for my Facebook Live to see how this card came together. Facebook Live Event
In the summer I was very excited to use this image to create my first card using the Always With Me Stamp Set. This was done with water color. You can see how different this card looks with the All About Autumn DSP and the Linen and Copper Ribbons from the September – December Mini Catalog. This card was inspired by he Copper Clay and Pretty Peacock color combination. I hope you enjoyed both of these cards. Join me on Monday night to see them come to life from paper and a few coloring techniques.
