I can’t tell you how excited I am with the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack. Visions of White Christmas, Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, Danny Kaye and Vera-Ellen have inspired this “White Christmas” design. I don’t know about you but I love the scene at the end of the film when the barn doors open and the snow is gently falling and Bing’s dulcet tones tug at our heartstrings. I designed this the day after the attack on Paris and is a wish from my heart to yours that the coming year will bring you and yours many blessings of peace and happiness.
The Wonderland stamp set trees stamped in 3 different colors (Smokey Slate, Mint Macaron, and Mossy Meadow) to give it depth on the Whisper White card stock. For each color I stamped off once. I started with the Smokey Slate at the top of the card and then Mint Macaron a little lower on the card, finally the Mossy Meadow even lower. The base is Night of Navy. The trees on Whisper White come next in the layering process. The Designer Vellum Silver Snowflakes from the Holidays Fancy Foils bring to mind the peaceful snow covered pines in the forest. Silver Foil and Night of Navy are cut in concentric circles and layered over the the vellum.
I completed the card by embossing the “Silent Night” from the Wonderland Stamp set, Silver cording wrapped around the Silver Foil and embossed Night of Navy. The final touch; a Winter Wonderland Embellishment snowflake. I love the shimmering effect of the silver embossed vellum that is enhanced by the silver foil and the richness of the Night of Navy card stock.

#stampitcontest- Of course I’m loving your card! But it’s your technique of stamping an image in multiple colors that have me excited! Will have to try it next time.
Thank you. I had several versions including white craft ink on black and night of navy… Very pretty but too dark for the look I was going for. I have to send props out to Linda Cullen (my up line) as we discussed many ideas to improve the look and for her photography. It was a great way to collaborate.
Love the one with the snowflakes! #stampitcontest
I have had trouble logging in but I prefer the card with the snowflakes. Real classy.
