OH HELP!!!! THINK, THINK, THINK!
Yes that was my kitchen table at 7:30 this morning with several scrapped ideas. Even with 2 snow days this week, ideas for Easter were slow, far and few between.
I really wanted to do something with lilies and I love the Inside the Lines DSP, however I wasn’t a big fan of all the white spaces. So It 7am this morning I pulled out my snips and started fussy cutting. I know this design needs a little more umph, but I think that I this is a good example of how important your snips are! If you don’t have Stampin’ Up! snips, you should invest in a pair! Don’t forget this beautiful DSP is a Sale-a-Brations item and it will be gone soon!
I like the design much better against the Soft Sky Cardstock. The dragonfly is highlighted with Wink of Stella Gold to give it a little more glitz. The Watercolor Pencils of course is my favorite part of the
whole piece. I wanted to give the lilies a soft look with the white showing through. I used the Crazy About You stamp set for the Happy Easter Suite Sayings for the inside sentiment, along with Dragonfly Dreams. For the dragonfly and the “Happy Easter” I used a tone on tone stamping technique. I hope you enjoy this design. Don’t forget to comment on the bottom of this blog to enter into the prize drawing. Also if you enjoy my work, take a minute to follow my blog. Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your Easter Hopping!

Very nice card. I don’t have the dragon fly bundle but I can use something else in place of it.

Creative use of the Inside the Lines DSP! I don’t think I have that much patience to fussy cut all if that! (As a math teacher I love all of your math equations on the grid sheet! I tell my students math is everywhere!) #stampitcontest

Thinking you did a wonderful job with your card. The DSP Outside the Lines has so many uses! It seems that everyone has used it differently since it showed up. Might say I’ve tried to stockpile it by ordering it 3 times. But now I’m afraid to take it on! I’ll get over it eventually… I hope!
Keep sharing how you process your problems. Helpful to others!

I find it relaxing… but then I am a certified home ec teacher and I made my first dress at the age of 10. Art teacher was my first teaching cert… so these two pastimes fit perfectly in this card… now math and organization… I fail at miserably.
