Field of Dreams Part I

As promised the first installment of the “If You Build It, He will Come” monthly cards.  I was inspired a little bit by the Field of Dreams, I like the play on words.  It was also inspired by my favorite author Cecelia Ahern, who wrote P.S. I Love You. The concept:  Each month you open a new set of  two cards that contain  1. activity or an adventure that a couple can share together, and 2. a card that you can journal memories of the time that you spend together.  

For March (the first month after Valentine’s Day) I chose to use the stamp set “First Sight” to celebrate the beginning of any relationship.  April is the beginning of Spring when things begin to grow. With new experiences we learn and grow, so I chose the “Helping Me Grow” stamp set.  The Project Live cards set a beautiful backdrop for the stamps.  The wooden heart came from the Memories in the Making accessories collection.  The month stamps for this project came from the December 2015 Paper Pumpkin.  They are the perfect size for this project.

On the flip side of the cover card is a handwritten message that describes the adventure of the month.  My March message is “Back where we began, Let’s rediscover the roots of our love”. April is all about the newness of Spring with “Growing together is better, this month let’s learn something brand new.”  March is tied together with linen thread and I used Blushing Bride cotton ribbon for April.
