Butterfly Wishes and Springtime Joy Bring Easter Wishes
Butterfly Wishes bring thoughts of Spring and renewing life. I love the images in this beautiful stamp set. As a second grade teacher, I am all too familiar with our butterfly experiments with Painted Lady caterpillars. The Fine Art Floral DSP is a wonderful spring pallet and perfect for a Springtime card. As we watch them change into a new form, we are reminded how life can be renewed. I enjoyed using the Stampin’ Write Markers to use the coloring technique to make the flowering branch. A little tip: I discovered that if I held the stamp up while coloring, I could see that the light reflected off the different textures of the branch, leaf, and flower. This made coloring the different parts of the stamp easier. I finished the card front with a little bling in the form of Wink of Stella and Opal Rounds.
I love the sentiments in the Springtime Joy stamp set. It is perfect for an Easter card. It has lovely images as well. I can’t believe that one of my staples, the Stitched Nested Labels is going away. They are one of my go-tos for adding shape and borders. I did use the Rectangle Stitched Dies to add a border element repeat from the front to the inside.
I had a lot of fun creating this fun this fun fold card. I know I used it last month and I am still experimenting with the design. I changed the center cut to accommodate the Rectangle Stitched die. The folded Petal Pink cardstock measures 9 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ in this design. I hope you enjoyed this card. When you comment on my blog post below, you will be entered into a prize drawing.
