Fall Means Apple Harvests to Me
Fall means Apple Harvest to me. This is one of my all time favorite stamp sets. I live in apple country. Every fall I spend my weekends at Shelburne Farms, one of the 5 orchards in my town. I worked there as a teenager, my kids worked there as teenagers, and now I am back there working as a greeter and give information to all the visitors that come to pick apples. Although this is a familiar stamp set, I paired it with the Earthen Elegance DSP from the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. The Natural Ribbon and the Deckled Circle Dies are a sneak peak from the September – December Mini Catalog. To add some bling, I pulled out the 2023-2025 In Color Dots and used the Boho Blue Dots to bring the sparkle.
Mossy Meadow is the card base and the frame for each of the designs. It brings everything together with its earthy undertones. I used Fluid-100 Watercolor Paper. On the cover design, I used VersaMark and Black Embossing powder to create a raised outline that makes it easier to control the ink when using a watercolor technique. In this image, I stamped with off with Crumbcake and then used a wash technique to give a light color to the image and then stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow.
On the inside, I inked up the apple stamp in Crumbcake and then stamped off twice before stamping in the center of the card inside. Mossy Meadow was again used for the sentiment. The Something Fancy Stamp Set is where I found these wonderful words. I really had a great time making this card.
I hope you enjoyed my impression of fall using Stampin’ Up! products. Monday August 21, 2023 at 7pm, I will be doing a Facebook Live to demonstrate how I made this card. Join me JOIN ME – Monday August 21 at 7pm
