Nested Friends, My Mom’s Favorite: Bluebirds
Every Easter my mom was on the lookout for her favorite bluebirds. I love this stamp set. What’s more I love using the our Classic Stampin’ Pads to create a beautiful watercolored image. The Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper absorbs the inks beautifully and the mix of colors available in the Stampin’ Up! pallette create a lovely work of art. The background was created using Pacific Point, Tahitian Tide, and Parakeet Party in a wet on wet watercolor technique. I used the same technique to create the 3 eggs.
This fun fold is the perfect way to show of your art work. It forms it’s own frame. I have a Pop-Up Online Watercolor class to show you how I create lovely watercolor techniques. I used the Garden Birhouses Stamp Set to create 4 cards using with a variety of techniques. The class includes PDF instructions and video instructions. I will include as a bonus a video on how I created this card. See the link below to find out more about this Online Class.
Using the watercolor eggs cut from the wet in wet colored paper gives the inside sentiment a lovely Easter flare. It was so much fun to just paint the colors and watch them bleed into each other as they move with the water.
Never send out a naked envelope! It is a nice touch when the card design is echoed on the envelope. I colored the image with blends (a better coloring tool for envelope paper).
I hope you enjoyed this card. Remember to add a comment below to be included into this months drawing for the prize patrol.
