Happy Easter and
Please, Please, Please Spring….
You are welcome to arrive ANYTIME NOW!
Welcome to the Stamp It Group Easter Blog Hop and Spring in New England! March roared in with 4 Nor’Easters and EASTER Sunday is April 1st. I think Mother Nature’s biggest April fools joke is that Spring is still not here! So with snow still on the ground and other issues that are causing great havoc in my life, I almost didn’t feel up to participating in this months hop. However, I figured I could put something together. Easter is one of my favorite celebrations of family and friends. So I got up this morning and I knew just what I wanted to do. It’s 6am and I have 4 hours to create this post. No biggie, I can do this… I go to pull out the You’re Inspiring stamp set (I bought it just for this blog hop). Wait a minute! Where is it????? I search my stamp shelves, I can’t find it anywhere! I then realize after some searching desperately through my orders, that I didn’t actually order it! Great! Remember that havoc I mentioned… It has struck again. Well now I am committed and I don’t have one stamp that says Happy Easter! Then I thought, maybe you have this same dilemma. Time to go rogue and change it up a bit.
My original plan was to use the Charming Cafe Bundle and that still worked. Instead of the lovely daffodils, I chose the basket from the Hanging Garden stamp set. Nothing makes me happier than when I am hand coloring stamps. I used the Stampin Write Markers to color the Hanging Garden Stamp and the flowers around the outside, but I used the Old Olive Blends pen to color the greenery on the frame. I had planned to use Wonder Wisteria as a card base because I so love the colors of yellow and purple for Easter. Then out of the corner of my eye, I saw the Tutti Frutti Cards and Envelopes on my shelf. My ideas exploded! And just think… You can get these cards and envelopes FREE with any $50 purchase before March 31st! Sale-a-Bration Baby!!!! I went in search of the Lovely Friends stamp set and everything came together. The sentiment is perfect.
I loved that it had a matching envelope. I liked that this message from Charming Cafe, also had a sentiment that added a nice touch to the inside of the card.
I hope you enjoy this card and it gives you options to consider when you don’t have a stamp that says “Happy Easter”. You will find more blog posts to explore other ways to use the Charming Cafe Bundle. Let me know what you think of this card in the comment section below. I love to get your feedback, and Please remember to add #stampitcontest to your comment to be included in this months prize drawing. Enjoy the rest of the Blog Hop.
