Welcome to the Birthday Theme Blog Hop from the fabulous crafters of the Stamp It Group. Hop along from blog to blog to get some fantastic ideas on birthday cards. They come around every year and I am pretty convinced that Hallmark does NOT send the very best. When you craft it yourself, it comes from your heart and soul. So enjoy all the ideas coming your way so that you can send the very best! Don’t forget to comment at the bottom of each blog so that you can be entered into the prize drawing. Last month’s month’s winner is: (drum roll please) JOAN MATTIE! Congratulations Joan.
Fairy Celebrations is the perfect stamp set to make a card for your little fairy princess. I just love the line drawings of the fairies, so much so, I had to use more than one.
I created the dreamy background by layering vellum over the glitter design from the Falling In Love DSP collection in the Occasions Catalogue.
The candles came from the Window Shopping Thinlits. I have seen it used this way in many cards. I like the way a small strip of Gold Glimmer Paper lights up the flames. It also adds a great accent to the wings of my little fairy. I think the rhinestone jewels add a little something extra to the fairy dust, don’t you?
I hope you enjoyed this card. The inspiration came from some of my cute second graders. They just seem to love the idea of fairy dust.
Don’t forget to comment on my blog and all the other blogs in this hop to get an entry into the prize drawing (below). One entry for each comment. (one comment per blog please).
